In short

  • The translator and the letter generator run entirely in your browser. What you type or paste is not sent to us, to Google or to anyone else and is not stored. It disappears when you close the page.
  • Google Analytics runs on every page in Google Consent Mode. Until you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, it sets no cookies and Google receives only cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed). If you click “Accept”, Google Analytics may set cookies to recognise returning visits.
  • No advertising networks, no tracking pixels, no fonts or scripts from other servers apart from Google Analytics. All advertising features of Google are switched off.

The site’s Content Security Policy allows connections only to this domain and, for Google Analytics, to Google’s analytics domains.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It tells us which pages are visited, how visitors arrive (for example from a search engine) and which device types are used. We use this only to improve the content.

  • Without consent: no cookies are set. Google receives cookieless signals about page views, which Google uses for aggregated reporting.
  • With consent: Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>. According to Google, they expire after two years.
  • Legal basis: for cookies, your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; for visitors from Germany also § 25(1) TDDDG); for the cookieless signals, our legitimate interest in basic statistics about the use of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Data transfer: data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Retention: [retention period set in the Google Analytics account to be added].
  • Withdrawing consent: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and choose “Reject”. The analytics cookies are then deleted and no new ones are set.

The text you enter in the translator or the letter generator is never part of the data sent to Google Analytics.

Your choice in the browser

Your decision (accept or reject) is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key sp-analytics-consent, so that the banner does not appear on every page. Nothing else is stored.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, e-mail address, topic and message by e-mail and use them only to answer you. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We delete the messages when they are no longer needed to handle your request. To prevent spam, the server briefly stores a one-way hash of your IP address (for up to one hour) to limit the number of messages per hour; the IP address itself is not stored. Please do not send health data through the form.

Server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may record technical data for each request, such as IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type. [Details of the hosting provider, the retention period and the legal basis to be added once confirmed with the host.]
